To-Do Tuesday #5 Weekly Progress Update

I am joining the weekly To-Do Tuesday Linky Party hosted by my friend, Roseanne, at Home Sewn By Us. I find goal-setting to be extremely helpful to get more accomplished, and since I’m always trying to get one more project done, I’m all for a little extra push and/or encouragement.

To-Do for the week of Sept 10th-Sept 16th:

  1. Make as much progress as possible on my Dimension in Dusk quilt top. – √ Done

To-Do #1

I just had one goal for last week which was to make much as much progress with my Dimension in Dusk quilt top as possible. Well, I was actually able to get the quilt top finished. Yay! The blocks themselves were super quick to paper piece since I had all the fabric cut and organized. Sewing the blocks into rows took a little longer and more time with my seam ripper than I would’ve liked! I find solids less forgiving than prints when it comes to matching up points. Below is a pic of the finished 52” x 60” quilt top:

I couldn’t resist taking a quick shot of the back of the quilt top that shows the sun coming through making it look like stained glass:

To-Do for the week of Sept 17th through September 23rd

  1. Cut the charcoal background for the Lumen blocks.
  2. Start sewing quadrants for the Lumen blocks. The quilt will have 16 blocks with four quadrants in each block.

Hi Mary! Wow, wow, WOW, wowee! It sure looks fabulous, and it really does look like stained glass from the back with the sun shining through. What’s next for the quilt top – does it get a border or is it quilting? Huge congrats on getting this fully pieced last week. That was a lot of work. Thanks for linking up and here’s to another successful week. ~smile~ Roseanne
