To-Do Tuesday #7 Weekly Progress Update

I am joining the weekly To-Do Tuesday Linky Party hosted by my friend, Roseanne, at Home Sewn By Us. I find goal-setting to be extremely helpful to get more accomplished, and since I’m always trying to get one more project done, I’m all for a little extra push and/or encouragement.

To-Do for the week of Sept 24th-Sept 30th:

  1. Pull coordinating fabrics for Roseanne’s Ripples blocks. – √ Done
  2. Attend two workshops at the EQ Academy in Perrysburg, Ohio. √ Done

To-Do #1

I love Christmas fabric and recently had to buy yet another large scrapbooking bin to accommodate all my Christmas fabric stash! So I did not have much of a problem choosing fabric for Roseanne’s Ripples blocks except for a black fabric. I ended up picking a simple black dot fabric that pretty goes with anything. I just love the clumps of snowmen in third fabric below:

To-Do #2

I had so much fun at the EQ Academy! I learned SO much from Jenny Novinsky about drawing paper pieced blocks in EQ8 and from Cheryl Brickey to use EQ8 to design modern quilts. They are both fantastic teachers, and I recommend taking a class or workshop from either of them if you get a chance. Below is a pic of Cheryl talking about modern quilt design.

To-Do for the week of October 1st through October 7th

  1. Make two Christmas Ripples blocks for Roseanne.
  2. If time allows, start making more Lumen blocks.

Hi Mary! Oh, I just LOVE seeing this photo of your class. I knew you were going to learn a LOT, and I find hands-on is just the best for learning. At least for me it is. I also just LOVE your fabric pull. I’m so glad you had fabrics in your stash, and didn’t have to go out and buy something special. Ooh-la-la, your blocks are going to be so cool. EEK! Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne
