Due to a busy next few months, I am limiting myself to three projects to complete during the last quarter of 2019. First up is the one that is furthest along, Dimension in Dusk. It is currently at My Long Arm Quilting Service, and I expect it back by Nov 1st. I can’t wait to see it quilted and sew the binding on it. I think it will look really good on the black recliner in my living room.
Next up is the Lumen quilt that I am making for Christmas for my stepdaughter, Alisha. Below is a pic of the paper-pieced segments that will make up the first two rows (out of a total four rows) of this quilt. This lap-sized quilt will be 60” x 60”. I’m hoping to get the quilt top done by the end of the month and get it sent off to Melissa at Sew Shabby Quilting.
My last proposed project is to make a Penguin Party 20” square pillow (Pattern by Elizabeth Hartman). I like to make something new each year to add to my Christmas decor, and I think this will be a relatively quickly project.

Hi Mary! You are not keeping Lumen?!!! I get it – we can’t keep all the quilts we make but that one . . . it is SO very cool and special. I am certain that Alisha will enjoy it as such. A penguin pillow sounds like fun. I think you went pretty easy on yourself there, Missy. HAHA! I only had four on my list but went and added three more just this morning. Of the seven, I’m certain that only four will get completed. But there’s always hope! ~smile~ Roseanne
