My June 2021 One Monthly Goal is to make 24 blocks for the Positivity Sew Along hosted by Sew Preeti Quilts. I’m thrilled to make another Mercyful quilt that will go to the Palliative Care Unit at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento, California that gives quilts to their terminally ill patients to bring some measure of comfort to the person and their family as they go through the difficult process of dying. The family then keeps the quilt in the memory of the person who passed away.
Preeti has some amazing Layouts (my favorite is #12), but I’m needing to keep it simple as I’m extra busy these days and also will be going to California early next month to celebrate my brother, Bill’s 75th birthday. I’m using seven different Alison Glass Kaleidoscope fabrics to make my gender neutral version of Positivity. The background is Charcoal, and the fabrics for the pluses are pictured below from left to right: Cobalt, Turtle, Tiger, Pencil, Hope, and Mermaid (even the names of the fabrics are gender neutral except for Mermaid!)
Linking up to Elm Street Quilts: June 2021 OMG.
I love the colors you’ve chosen!

I love your fabric color selection — I too will be using Alison Glass fabrics for my plus signs — haven’t picked a background yet but leaning towards gray also!

Hi Mary! Goodness, those are some fun fabrics. Pencil seems to be spot on for all the #2s that I recall. They all look fab on the Charcoal background. I don’t remember which layout we’re going to go with but I will check on #12! ~smile~ Roseanne
