I’m a rather camera-phobic woman who took my first quilt class in October 2014 and became instantly hooked. I live in rural New Mexico after moving to New Mexico from California in 1990s to go to grad school. The slower pace and wide open spaces along with the beautiful mountains and mesas is what my spirit craves. I live with a companion and four cats. I’m sure all of the cats will eventually show up in my quilting pics as all four of them love to “help” me with my quilting. I work full-time as a mental health therapist, and I am constantly preaching “Self Care” to my clients. Quilting is definitely my best self-care activity. I lose myself in beautiful fabrics and putting blocks together “just so” and I generally feel refreshed and ready to deal with my other responsibilities.
