My October ‘19 One Monthly Goal is to finish my Lumen quilt top that I making for Christmas for my step-daughter, Alisha. This pattern was designed for Alison Glass by the supremely talented Nydia Kehnle, who also designed my Dimension in Dusk quilt. I am using Alison Glass’ Kaleidoscope fabric in 24 different colors with a charcoal background. The charcoal fabric is more of a medium grey, and it has amazing texture. The 60” x 60” lap-size quilt is made from 16 blocks, and each block has four paper-pieced segments that form an asterisk of sorts. Below is a photo of the first four blocks which comprise the first row of the quilt. I have to say that I found it really challenging to capture the vibrancy of the Kaleidoscope fabric.

Hi again, Mary! Yippee! I’m glad this is on the list for this month. It’s gorgeous and I can’t wait to see it all finished. ~smile~ Roseanne
