My July 2021 One Monthly Goal was to make a 30″ square Storm at Sea wall hanging. Last month I took a David Sirota ‘s Storm at Sea: No More Tears Paper Piecing workshop through the online Vermont Quilt Festival. I finished the quilt top early in the week so decided to get it quilted and bound over the weekend. Dave recommended doing simple quilting that accentuates the illusion of curves in the quilt, and that’s exactly what I did with a decent amount of success. Although I don’t see me making another Storm at Sea quilt anytime soon, I have the feeling that I might make another one down the road.
