To-Do #1
I’m so happy to report that I did finish my three temperature quilt tops on January 1st! I’m going to wait to share pics until these quilts are completely finished. Below are the last three 2.5″ x 4.5″ flying geese units I made for 2022 with my town in New Mexico on the top (High 63 Kona Glacier/Low 30 Kona Noble Purple), my stepdaughter’s California Bay Area city in the middle (High 59 Kona Cyan/Low Kona Mediterranean), and my stepson’s city in the state of Washington at the bottom (High 49 Kona Celestial/Low Kona Ocean). The quilt tops are being sent off for quilting to Rebecca at Rebecca Grace Quilting today!
To-Do #2
I did get my January 2023 OMG post written. Read about it here.
To-Do #3
I pulled some Alison Glass fabrics for SAHRR2023 that is being hosted by Quilting Gail. Below are fabrics that I will use for the center, Round 1 and possibly Round 2. I will also use some coordinating Kona solids.
To-Do for the week of Jan 3rd-9th:
- Start working on Ripples camping quilt for my niece, Kim.
- Start sewing my SAHRR2023 center block.
- Make binding for 2022 temperature quilts.
We have a new To-Do Tuesday host. Thank you, Carol, for taking over the hosting of this very helpful and supportive linky party. Linking up to Quilt Schmilt: To-Do Tuesday.
When you make flying geese, do you paper piece? They always look so neat. Looking forward to seeing your camping quilt.

Hi Mary! What size are your FGs? What?! You’re not using teal or aqua in your center block?? This is the new 2023 side of you! Can’t wait to see what you start with. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Good morning Roseanne. The flying geese units are 2.5” x 4.5”. I will definitely be using teal/turquoise later in the SAHRR project. I’m starting with reddish orange then will transition along the color wheel! So it’s really not a new side of me!!!
Hugs, Mary
