My February 2023 One Monthly Goal was to make a quilt top using the Easy Bargello Quilt Pattern by Busy Hands Quilts. I really enjoyed sewing with Wilmington Prints Magic Colors and Silvers Linings 40 Karat Gems (precuts similar to jelly rolls). The quilt top measures 70″ x 81″ so it even fits my full-size bed nicely.
My cousin McKenzie and I had a mini family sew-along with this pattern. She is always busy making wonderful quilts. Follow her on Instagram at @Bogey_and_Bobbins where you can see her beautiful quilts and other handmade items along with the antics of her beautiful chocolate lab, Bogey. See her progress thus far on her Easy Bargello quilt top below (and Bogey who was giving McKenzie sad eyes because she wanted to go for a walk!):

Awe, thanks, Mary!! Your quilt is beautiful. I love seeing the same pattern made by different people with different fabrics. Makes them so unique!

A rainbow of happy colors, and it looks great on your bed! I hopped over to McKenzie’s feed and am following her now, too – so many creative projects on her site, too (and a cute pup!)

Beautiful! I like that you went scrappy in the “solid” strips. And I like the movement the piecing creates across the quilt top.

Hi Mary! How fun that you are sewing along with your cousin. Both version are beautiful! You have both convinced me to reconsider making a bargello quilt. I have to check out your cousin’s IG feed – I’m a huge lover of labs. They are the best dog ever! Nice job. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
