I have had a fairly good week pain-wise with my right hand/wrist, so I was able to get the rest of the blocks sewn for the Mid Century Modern quilt I’m making for my friend, James. Please see my MCM Update #1 post for the details about this project. Below are the last eight of the 12″ blocks that I’ve drafted in Electric Quilt Version 8 (EQ8) with a close-up of the line drawing on the left and the sewn block on the right.
Next up is joining the blocks with sashing to get the quilt top made which I hope to get done in the next week.
On Tuesday, I will be linking up to Quilt Schmilt: To-Do Tuesday to share this update with my quilting peeps who participate in this linky party.
Oh, I can’t wait to see these together in a quilt top! I’m glad your hand/wrist are feeling better, too!

That is so neat you can do those blocks in EQ and bring them to life! Does EQ tell you how to cut and stitch them up?

Your blocks look fabulous! I’m so glad to hear that your wrist pain abated enough for you to get your blocks finished.

Hi Mary! Did you throw in a bit of blue in that one block? Actually, in two because I think it might be in the center of another block. Doesn’t matter – all of these blocks are just fab. Gosh, I’m so proud of you and how you drew these out. It’s like the perfect project for you and I’m so glad you’re enjoying it. It will be so nice to see these with sashing – I’m wondering what color you’ll pick?!! Wonderful job, Mary. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Mary I really love these blocks and think they are going to be one gorgeous quilt. James is lucky to be the recipient. I’m so glad to read that the pain has subsided enough that you were able to sew last week. I can’t wait to see what you get done this week. I hope it is going as well as last week for you. Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday.

How exciting! The blocks are just beautiful. And I don’t know how to use EQ8, but I would think I’d be lost without it to try to figure out how to make those blocks. 😀 Glad your hand is better.
