March 2021 OMG

My March 2021 One Monthly Goal is to make a mini Harry Potter quilt for a colleague at work named Tasia who loves all things Harry Potter. We are doing a trade where she is helping me with some strength training twice a week in exchange for the mini quilt. Tasia has given me free rein in the design. I found a great paper-pieced pattern at Fandom in Stitches. I’ll wait to share the exact pattern when I link up at the end of the month, but I will share the 16” x 16” panel that will go on the back of the mini quilt:

Hi Mary! Ooooh, HP. I recognized the symbol right away in spite of never reading a single HP book. I am so excited to see your quilt! I have always wanted to make a HP quilt of some sort but haven’t pushed it to the top of our list yet. Paper-pieced. Of course. Your purple example above is enough to pull me in, though, in spite of PP. HAHA! ~smile~ Roseanne

This is lovely, and it’s going on the BACK!! I’d want it centre-stage on the front! But don’t take any notice of me; I shan’t be making this myself anytime soon. Good luck making the rest of the blocks this month. I look forward to seeing your progress at the end of the month.

  6. Love the fabric! I’d never read any of the HP books or watched any of the movies. After visiting Universal Studios I realized I would have enjoyed the HP area more if I knew the story behind it. Awesome trade you have with Tasia!
