My May 2021 One Monthly Goal is to do the sashiko stitching on the Two Cranes pre-printed Sashiko pattern. Last month I started stitching it with a variegated orange Perle thread but didn’t like how washed-out the lighter sections of the thread looked. I’ve ordered some Wonderfil Eleganza in a several yellow and orange colors, and I’m leaning toward using a color called Pencil.

The cranes look like an ambitious project; i hope you have many happy hours working on this piece. I would love to learn Sashiko, but I haven’t yet seen a book that I like. Can you recommend a learning source.
