This is my third year participating in the Hands2Help Comfort Quilt Challenge. My donation quilt is a Color Jolt throw-size quilt that measures 51” X 67”. I was too late to participate in the Quilt-Along last fall, but I appreciated all the good information that Kate with SparkleStash.com included in her QAL posts. This was a fun and relatively quick quilt to make, and I was able to use Hoffman Volcano 10-inch squares in my stash along with Kona Teal Blue for sashing and borders. Cara@Sew Colorado Quilting did such a nice job of quilting it with a simple edge-to-edge quilting pattern called lightning.
I am donating my H2H quilt to Covered in Love. Over the past couple years I’ve made some donation blocks for this wonderful hospice program in Texas but this is the first quilt I’ve donated to them. It is my hope that it lifts the spirits of its recipient.
