Weekly Progress Update #129

To-Do for the week of Jan 24th-Jan 30th:

  1. Start working on the second border for SAHRR2022. √Done
  2. Finish my Treasure Hunt quilt top and write my Jan 2022 OMG Finish post. √Done
  3. Work on a Peloton unit and/or Temperature flying geese. √Done

To-Do #1

We received our second border prompt for SAHRR2022 from Emily of The Darling Dogwood on Monday. Emily chose diamonds, and I decided to make four paper-pieced diamonds in the same dark pink print fabric as I used in the dog’s bow tie (from Brenda Ratliff’s Pie Making Day collection). With the two borders, my piece now measures 21.75″ square.

To-Do #2

I was able to get my Treasure Hunt quilt top finished. I shared about the details here.

To-Do #3

I have flying geese made for all three temp quilts through Jan 28th. I will share more about my temp quilts and Peloton quilt soon.

To-Do for the week of Jan 31st-Feb 7th:

  1. Write my Favorite January 2022 Quilt post.
  2. Write my Feb 2022 OMG post.
  3. Work on the third border for SAHRR.

  1. Love the border addition to your SAHRR, Mary! You’re doing well on your projects!

  2. The SAHRR border is perfect; I really like that you tied back in the bow tie fabric with this round.

Oh my gosh, this is the cutest! I love that you used the same fabric in the diamonds as your dog’s bowtie. The four diamonds are a perfect accent!

Hi Mary! The placement of your diamonds on your center SAHRR block is just fab and quite striking. I just adore how it pulls out his little red collar which might have been missed if you had selected something else. {{Hugs}} a bunch. ~smile~ Roseanne

The red diamonds are a perfect tie in to his bow tie!!! Great design.

  6. Your diamonds in the round robin border look great! I think paper-piecing them is such a good idea. Looking forward to seeing your temperature quilt progress, too!

  7. Love your diamonds!! I was thinking of using an acrylic template from Jen Kingwell for mine, we’ll see how it goes. The Treasure Hunt quilt is so pretty.
Thanks for linking up with To Do Tuesday!
