Weekly Progress Update #152

To-Do for the week of July 4th-10th:

  1. Bind my Nene quilt and a write a post about it when it’s finished. √Done
  2. Start sewing my April flying geese temperature units into columns. √Done
  3. Work on my Murmuration project. √Done

To-Do #1

I did get my Nene quilt finished. Read the details here.

To-Do #2

I was able to get all my flying geese units sewn into columns for April, May, and June. From left to right is the second quarter of 2022 for my city in New Mexico, my stepdaughter’s Bay Area city in California, and my stepson’s city in Washington. It’s obvious that my city has the greatest temperature fluctuations from the below freezing purples to the high of 94 depicted by Kona Coral. The pic below shows most of the flying geese, but I wasn’t patient enough to wait for the wind to die down more to get a less wind-blown shot 🙂

To-Do #3

I have made more progress on my Murmuration project but there’s nothing photo-worthy of any of the units I’ve made. But in the next week I plan to get all the units made for the right side of the quilt, and I will share a photo in my next Weekly Progress Update post.

To-Do for the week of July 11th-17th:

  1. Finish units for the right side of my Murmuration project.
  2. Make more July flying geese units for my temp quilts.

  1. Seeing the temperatures come together for the 3 cities is really interesting. I’m so impressed that you are keeping up on that project and making so many other beautiful quilts this year.

  2. Those temperature quilt segments are so interesting with the variations in color! I cannot wait to see your Murmurations quilt!

Hi Mary! I am digging these temperature flying geese units. What a striking difference between the different cities. And the Nene quilt finish!! WOWEE. It’s just fabulous. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. The flying geese are such a great block for the temperature quilts, and it’s so interesting to see how they compare from place to place. Hope you don’t need too many made out of the coral this summer!

Congrats on getting your list done this week. Love flying geese…so colorful. And
I really like your Nene Quilt…it’s awesome! Have a great day!

  6. Your Nene quilt is spectacular! As our heat soars past 100 day after day I’ve been watching temps in New Mexico wishing I could move there. I’d love to have a view of mountains or mesas, and the heat isn’t quite as oppressive.
Good luck with your list and thank you for sharing with us at To Do Tuesday!
