I am joining Cheryl@Meadow Mist Designs’ Favorite Finish Monthly Linkup to share about my favorite finish this month which is my Dimension in Dusk quilt. The pattern and the color design are by Nydia Kehnle. I really love the Time Warp quilting pattern (quilting done by My Long Arm Quilting Service). Below is a photo of it at my favorite photography place in my small town:
And here is a pic of it on the recliner in the living room.
I have learned so much from several quilt designers about color including Nydia listed above (whose color scheme in the Lumen quilt she designed I also tried to emulate in my Lumen quilt), my Summer Sampler 2017 quilt (Pattern and color design by Lee, Katie, and Faith—except I opted for a dark background), and Rebecca Bryan of Bryan House Quilts, whose Stargazer BOM quilt I have had to put on hold for now, but I plan to finish it in 2020. I have made some minor color changes to Rebecca’s gorgeous Mock-up, substituting more purple for the brighter greens. Part of me wants to go back to the breath-taking original, but there is another part of me wants to see what my modifications will look like in my finished Stargazer quilt. I’m challenging myself in 2020 to spread my color designing wings as I continue to learn more from Rebecca being a part of her Playful Color Quilt Guild.
This was one of my 2019 Qtr 4 FAL goals. Linking up to 2019 Quarter 4 Finish-A-Long Finishes.
Gorgeous photo shoot for a fantastic finish! It sounds like the Playful Color Quilt Guild will be a lot of fun in 2020.

Hi Mary! This quilt should be your favorite although Lumen is a very, very close second to me. It looks so pretty against that neutral tan background, and equally comfy on your recliner. I think you’ve been snuggling underneath it since you have had some snow. Really nice finish. ~smile~ Roseanne
