To-Do #1
Gail at Quilting Gail gave us our last SAHRR2023 border prompt which was the pinwheel block. I used a paper-pieced pinwheel block from EQ8 combining both blue violet and red violet fabrics. Alison Glass’ fabrics are SO fun to fussy cut! I have the sixth border sewn onto my SAHRR2023 project, but I’m only sharing one of the pinwheel blocks now and will show everyone the last border on March 13th when we participate in the SAHRR2023 parade on Gail’s website. I hope to have it quilted and bound by then. To see my other five borders, click here.
To-Do #2
For my March 2023 One Monthly Goal, I am planning to make a Turquoise Star quilt using five stars from Lee Heinrich’s Chevron Star pattern. See a little more info about this project here.
To-Do #3
I cut a few more on-point 3″ squares for a camping quilt that I will work on over the next few months. I’m prioritizing other projects but hope to have a finished camping quilt by the end of summer.
To-Do for the week of March 7th-13th:
- Quilt and bind my SAHRR2023 project.
- Make two more turquoise stars.
- Design some simple quilt blocks in EQ8 for a Quilt-As-You-Go project.

The on point squares for the camping quilt are delightful; you have some really fun prints there! I am really looking forward to the SAHRR wrap up on the 13th. 🙂

Hi Mary! I hope you come and share your SAHRR piece on March 13th (not May!). I cannot wait to see it. That pinwheel is SO COOL!! Very clever. And, of course, it’s PP. The Turquoise Star quilt will be so pretty, and the camping quilt is just plain fun. {{Hugs}} a bunch! ~smile~ Roseanne
